I read both versions. This installment is just lovely. Nothing better than some Christmas schmoop. It was very touching. I was choked up by the time I got to the caroling. :) It's just really special how hard Sam tried to make the holiday special for the both of them and how Dean was worried about the same thing but didn't need to be. All Sam wanted was to thank Dean. I like how they both have their own successes individually. But ultimately they find home in each other and are strongest and happiest together. There's no better sentiment than that. Just loved it! -NY ps - $8 a gallon?! I had momentarily forgotten this is set in the future. ;)
