they came to install dsl for my tenant and took out mine.

I am caging signal from a neighbor but it's very slow. I will do my best to get the mini_nanowrimo approvals & premier post up and answer questions, but that is about all I can manage on this connection.

if ya'll could pass the word to where ever you think it's appropriate, that would be lovely.

This is just a heads up that I'll be kicking the Mini Nanowrimo off again in Mid October. The community exists only on Livejournal and I won't be cross posting to other journal services after the initial announcement. (however if someone wants to run one on JournalFen, Insane Journal or whereever, up to and including snagging the daily prompts, I have no problem with it. Administratively, it's not bad, but you do have to track the counts of the participants & make the daily prompt posts.)

Just a note: Please do not try to join the community before the open for business post is made. If you are already a member and plan to participate, you're good.

Here's the scoop:

Mini NaNoWriMo is a community for people not really up for the NaNoWriMo challenge but who still want to set and meet writing goals.

It's all very simple.

When the OPEN FOR BUSINESS post goes up, join the mini_nanowrimo community.

In the preliminaries, you'll be asked (but not required) to submit pictures, poetry, and quotes for daily prompts.

Beginning November 1st, 2007, a new post will be made every day:

To participate:
You must commit to and post minimally 100 words of fiction day, (or link to a post with the minimum amount)and a word count, into the comments for the day's post by end of day.

That's it. Word count can be to a single story, individual drabbles, snippets,vignettes, or ongoing works, poetry. It can be from any fandom or original. It can be slash, het, gen or a combination.
