Maygra, I've said this before, but your brain is an amazing place and I'm so grateful, and so reverently thrilled, that you share parts of it with us via your stories. Damn, this is just incredible... as this piece and my understanding unfolded, I seriously felt all the hair on my body standing on end. It really is just that amazing.

this is the first part I posted. I'm working on others, but none of them are really linear -- I mean eventually (hopefully) people will understand what happened and why and what it means, but right now it's jsut kind of moments here and there.

Or maybe it's just that the only thing tying Sam to this life at all is Dean, just as the only thing that lets Dean see beyond the darkness that they're still fighting with every day and every breath is Sam.

It is also pointedly not in any way crackfic. That is what is SO SO beautiful about having SO many talented and courageous writers in this fandom. We have set up and knocked down each of the cliche fic tropes one after another proving that they can be done with beauty and skill. *YOU* have now done the wingfic. Congratulations.

This actually *works* as a story that's believable. Of course, if they grew wings it would come with all the other angelic attributes! Of course, it's natural that *they* of all people would become that.

God, Sam as a vengeful angel is a terrifying thought.
