It is entirely possible to respect a person's right to their opinion and not respect a particular opinion. It's also possible to disagree with another person's opinion and still respect the person.

It is nearly impossible to respect a person whose opinion includes the view that anyone who disagrees with their opinion deserves no respect, and furthermore, because their views differ, are morally bankrupt, ethically void, and possibly the root of all evil.

And seriously? People who write (or read) incest are no more likely to be advocating for it in real life than people who write (or read) h/c kidfic are advocating for child abuse.

I am muchly in the mood for cute Salvationverse. Sam+girls=omgOVARIES! Whee!

I...kinda wanna write Dean and toddler Sam-John. And Sam, who is maybe babysitting, but gets all befuddled because all he knows is GIRLS, and Sam-John is NOT impressed. And of course Dean knows toddler boys, because, hello? SAM, right? And there is mocking. Can I play there for a while?

I personally think it would be very funny for Dean to mock about Sam not knowing boys and yet he and Sam-John get along like a house afire.

Dangnabbit! No spontaneous de-friending to be had! *L* Apparently this person also presented herself as an objective evaluator of writing quality at Eyecon? Seriously, your opinion is one thing, being so anti-everyone else's is another. But clearly she was out and out LYING about her objectivity when gen OR SLASH writers were invited to submit stories to her for critique. That's SOME moral highground, there! I won't write gay erotica or slash, but it's okay if I'm a LYING LIAR WHO LIES just to get a workshop mod spot.
